Medicare Programs

Eligibility: Individuals 65 years of age and older, and younger adults with disabilities

Description: The CARES Act provides enhanced Medicare coverage for COVID-19 related services, including lab tests, medically necessary hospitalizations, and telehealth services. Telehealth services could include evaluation and management visits (common office visits), mental health counseling and preventive health screenings. Services could be provided virtually or at specified sites of services. Medicare is also responding to COVID-19 in other ways. 

Meal Programs

Eligibility: Individuals 60 years of age and older

Description: Age Well Senior Services offers two meal programs.  Meals on Wheels is for individuals 60 years of age and older who are living at home and unable to prepare their own meals or go out to eat, and have little or no assistance to obtain adequate meals. Meal deliveries include three meals: a hot, ready-to-eat meal, a cold meal to eat later in the day, and a breakfast meal for the following morning. Grab & Go meals are available for pickup at local senior centers. Recipients receive three meals per pickup.

Great Plates Delivered: Home Meals for Seniors

Eligibility: Individuals 65 years of age and older, or 60-64 and at high risk 

Important Dates: Program Available Through August 9, 2020

Description: The Great Plates Delivered Program is being administered by Age Well Senior Services to deliver three daily meals to eligible applicants. The delivery service helps seniors and other adults at high risk from COVID-19 to stay home and stay healthy. Participants must not be currently receiving assistance from other state or federal nutrition assistance programs among other criteria. Apply online or call 949-382-6098 for assistance.
